MNFF deleted three of my favorite forums. Deleted them, they exist no more. Something about too much spam and not enough useful writerly crap. Madame Puddifoot's, The Hog's Head and The Department of Mysteries are GONE!!! Where I am going to discuss G/D with Lys and Hermione? Where will I go to praise teh sexy that is Draco Malfoy? Where am I supposed to go to debate conversial issues? I just posted a really good response about the justification of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and now I will never know if anyone responded.

Okay, so I'm being a bit dramatic. There are other places, but I spent a lot of time on those forums. I am very, very sad. And probably pathetic. WAH!!!

Whaaaat? They closed Madame Puddifoots? How dare they! I know I haven't been around a lot, but college has been crazy.
Who cares if they weren't "helpful". Every forum needs a place where you don't have to focus on just writing or whatever. Where you can meet other shippers. Crazy.

Yep, gone. All gone. When I pointed out that there were drabble challenges within a lot of the shipping threads and that the DoM promoted independent thought and ideas, they said that there are still forums where things like the shipping drabbles could be done and for other stuff, unrelated to fanfiction, there was always the official MN forums, Chamber of Secrets.

I am so bummed.

They said people were spending all their time in the 'fun' forums and neglecting the real purpose of MNFF - to improve their writing. This may be true, but I'm still sorry to see them go.
