Office move & diet
I've officially moved to the Chantilly office. I'm so out of shape that I am actually sore from it. Three boxes and a laptop. I'm sore from moving three boxes and a laptop. Heavy, book and supply filled boxes, but still. I've decorated. Pictures are up. Kung Fu Dancing Hamster and the plushy red octopus are in their new spots. My 'The B Word' calendar is hanging on the wall (The caption for June is 'Being unstable and bitchy is all part of my mystique'. Note the similarly themed icon. *points*) and my Happy Bunny 'whatever you moron' sticker is prominently displayed. All homey now.
I did not get home without hitting rain yesterday, but I had the two boxes that were exposed wedged up against the truck cab, so most of the rain flew over them. By the time a got home, you couldn't tell they'd gotten wet at all. Whew!
Becky has been after me to try out the diet she's been doing so well on. Becky is a phenomenally picky eater, so it says something that she's been able to stick this diet out for so long. I balked and balked, so today, to force the issue, Becky has made double portions of all her meals - 'cause she's cool and motherly like that. We has a strawberry banana smoothie for breakfast (with pasteurized egg yolks in it for protein). Our mid-morning snack was a turkey sausage patty and a banana. So far it's all been pretty good - not as good as regular fat-laden food, but pretty good.
We'll see if I can get through the day without dipping into the Pringles in my desk drawer or the Hershey's bar in my laptop case. Oh! Chocolate!
