Once again demonstrating my inability to follow simple directions, I have accidentally named myself Roiben in the Battle Imp card below. I thought I was naming my imp but upon closer inspection (after the fact) it was actually my name that was being requested. My skills of observation know no bounds. So, my imp's name is Oourd and I'm a dumbass. Feel free to battle Oourd. He may not have a cool name like I do, but he's one tough imp. Grrr.
As a random side note, I was attempting to name my imp after Rath Roiben Rye from Holly Black's 'Tithe'. Roiben is the faerie I'd most like to have sex with. TMI? Probably, but in any case Roiben is teh sexy.
I'm anxiously waiting for Chapter 35 of Anise's KCotDT which is supposed to be out today. It's supposed to have a seriously evil cliffhanger at the end and that's the last chapter she's gotten beta'd so I'll be very cranky waiting for 36 to come out and ease my nerves. Things keep getting worse and worse for Draco and Ginny but Anise has promised a happy ending.
I have to make beef stew tonight so I'll have something to take for lunch for the rest of the week. Being poor sucks. Not that I mind bringing my lunch; I just wish I didn't NEED to bring my lunch. I feel the same way about working. It's not that I hate my job, I just hate needing it.
My niece's birthday party was this weekend. Thirteen children (mostly around the age of eight), one teenager, two cats, one dog and five adults in a two bedroom apartment for three hours. Surprisingly it was not that bad. A bit loud at times but overall it went well. The kids had a blast. It was a Narnia themed party so they made cardboard swords and shields and had a big battle. They played pin the tail on Aslan (which Sheridan drew)and generally frolicked and made merry. It turned out that the one parent that stuck around for the whole party was a fan of MXC so James and I chatted with her for quite a while about our favorite tasks and what we would or would not do if we were on that show.
Afterward, Becky & Manny came over and we played Wit's End until very late. James spanked us all at it, like he does with most every game where you have to actually KNOW things. That's what I get for marrying a genius. The only games I win are the ones that involve bluffing, like Beyond Balderdash. I can lie like a rug!
Next weekend we have plans with people that are neither family nor Becky & Manny. This is a rare occurrence and I am heartily looking forward to it.
I need to get started on my long commute home. As Strong Bad would say, "Well, G To G."
