My pride - it ACHES!

I submitted a chapter of Anniversary to MNFF a week and a half or so ago and today it was rejected for 'dialogue errors'. Grrrr. This is the first time I've gotten rejected on any site. The fact that this same chapter has made it through the mod process on another site but is rejected on MNFF just grates on me. It's pride, I know it. I fixed the problems I could find and re-submitted (for another couple weeks of waiting). Honestly though, I wonder what I'll do if they don't accept a part of my story. I've already written additional chapters that are posted elsewhere so I don't have any desire or inclination to do any substantial re-writing of earlier parts. I'd probably have to just remove the story from MNFF altogether. Not that that would bother me too horribly. I don't like that they will reject based on the storyline. I can appreciate rejecting a story for grammatical stuff but I don't think they should be sending stuff back to people saying, "Yeah, your plotline is weak. Rejected!" That's a dramatization but I do know people that have gotten rejected based solely on the story they've written.

Anyway, that's my long rambling Grrrr for the day.
