Hello everyone

Hello folks. I haven't posted publicly in a couple days. Life's been a bit stressful and nasty recently, and unfortunately I expect it will continue that way for some time to come. A few people know what's going on, but I'm not quite ready to share the dirty laundry with the world at large yet. My life is changing, and it's going to be difficult, but ultimately for the better - I think. How long it will take me to get to 'ultimately' is the part that worries me.

In the meantime, I'm on week #4 without A/C. After having the one A/C dude out a few times, and finally coming to the decision that the outside unit is dead, it turns out my landlord has a home warranty and we have to go through the warranty folks to get any repairs done. Obviously, I'm not a high priority for them. So, they are coming out Tuesday sometime between 2-6 to look at the A/C, at which time I have to front the $100 charge for them to come out. The realty company will pay me back afterwards. *grumble, grumble* If they deem the unit broken beyond repair, they'll order a new unit. That will probably take another week, then I'll have to take more time off of work to be here when they put it in. I don't even want to think about the possibility they'll decide I don't need one. I think the time has come to demand a little rent relief for my inconvenience.
