Here it is, Monday morning. The entire household is home. James has the day off because of his flex schedule. Meredith has a bad cold. (Damn, I forgot to call the school!) I have a persistent headache and an upset stomach, which may or may not be a result of the amount of headache medicine I have consumed on an empty stomach. There's not much food in the house at the moment, as I have been determinedly ignoring the need to go to the grocery store.
The 'more senior' A/C fix-it dude is supposed to come today. A show of hands of the people who think my A/C will work by the end of the day? *looks around* I see we are all in agreement. Another sticky day and night, temps expected to be in the upper 80s today.
I need to do actual 'get-paid-for-it' work today. I also need to drop off my check for the water bill. Mix in a couple other errands, and me not feeling well, and I should be pretty busy and crabby all day. Yay.
I put in my top five choices for which prompts I'd like to write for the
dgficexchange, and am now nervous. I tell myself that it is too early to be nervous, since I haven't even gotten a firm assignment yet - no one can possibly hate my story until I actually write it - but I am stubborn and not listening to myself. Confidence - I wish I was on better terms with it.
