While I haven't exactly worn out a library, I've managed to read five books so far this year. I'm pretty happy with that. I'm working on the sixth. There are three more sitting on my bedside table waiting for my attention. Harry Potter #7 will be out in July, and I'll probably try to re-read most, if not all, of the previous books before it arrives. Libba Bray's next book is due out this fall. And (Emmie!) I noticed that Blue Like Jazz is on the 3-for-2 table at the bookstore, so I'll probably pick that up along with two others in the near future.
It's a good reading year.
My conquests to date:
The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Rebel Angels by Libba Bray
Ironside by Holly Black
Current project:
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
In the Wings:
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
In the Company of the Courtesan by Sarah Dunant
Hee. And less than 50% are YA fantasy. Barely.
