Meredith is sick again. Same symptoms as before. She can't hold anything down. I took her to the doctor this morning and he jotted a couple referrals and told us virtually nothing. Now I have to fit in a CT scan of her abdomen and a trip to the Gastro-intestinal specialist between now and when I leave town next Thursday. In the meantime, Meredith may or may not feel well enough to go to school. The snow closed schools most of last week. The entire week prior to that Meredith was sick. I don't know how she's going to pass this quarter, and I don't know where I'm going to come up with the time to run her around in between work, feeding my mom's cat, finding a pet sitter to feed my mom's cat when I go away, cleaning my house because the annual inspection is coming up, and normal things like eating and sleeping.
James needs a new windshield. His inspection is due this month and the Explorer won't pass while it's sporting an 18-inch crack. He can use my car while I'm gone because I'll be driving my mom's van, but the windshield has to be taken care of very soon.
At work, my finance guy didn't like the way I worded an explanation in a report, so I had to change it - again. (I'll take verbage for $200, Alex.) If he comes back again, I'm going to make him tell me what exactly it is he wants me to say because I'm tired of playing Guess that Sentence.
Nizlopi is soothing. One day I'm going to track down Luke & John and hug them.

I would watch the cat if she was closer. I ♥ cats.

Don't feel too badly, I'll be in your position when Emmie goes to Chicago. And if you really want to be jealous of - my friend Delaney is going to Italy to visit my friend Lys. Italy!
(I am pretty darn excited about my trip, though! Squee!)
The icon I'm using here is completely unrelated to our discussion, I'm just showing off the new icons I've picked up.

Oh My Gosh. I would kill to go visit Lys and I don't even know her.
I'm still jealous. And that icon is priceless. I love the original Bridget Jones.
I'm a fan of this icon of mine. The saying and the picture itself. Dork.

I especially like the gangsta hand gesture.
My niece Sheridan is 9. We're going to celebrate her birthday today. That's just a random comment. I can't believe she's nine. Wow. She was conceived immediately following James' bachelor party. TMI, huh?

That icon wins. Bar none. It's freaking awesome! I need new funny icons. I don't have enough fun ones. Stupid Panic! icons. Must branch out. Work on that for me, would you?
By the way, we both know you're a lightweight. Disclaimering with just "one" means nothing on the drunk scale. :P

You do need new fun icons. Panic! guys are cute and all, but they're such pansies - and not only in your stories. Drama-rama all the time in their piratey shirts. The kitty icon is by
So, James just rolled out of bed and peppered me with questions such as:
What time is it?
Why'd you let me sleep so late?
I guess we'd better get going, then, huh?
Pfft. It is nearly 12:30, I am not your mother, and yes, shortly. Currently, however, I am busy. I'm being silly. And not drunk. Catch me late next Thursday, and that may not be the case. Hurrah for wine and friends!
Alas, I think I must go shower and whatnot. I have to go with my psuedo-estranged husband to shop for a present for our niece, who was ironically conceived after a celebration of my then-impending nuptuals.
Have a wonderful day, love!

Thanks, Jen. Considering what all you've been dealing with, I feel a bit silly griping. I do hope they get Mer sorted out quickly, though. I don't really want to leave town while she's sick. James' bedside manner leaves something to be desired. *g*

I hope Mer does get better before you have to leave. Men just don't seem to have the same touch as we do ;)
