I took this meme from pretty much everyone, but I double the number of years because I'm far older than the majority of respondants.
HOW MUCH HAVE YOU CHANGED IN 20 YEARS
20 YEARS AGO
1.) How old were you?: 14
2.) Where did you go to school? Herndon HS
3.) Where did you work? I was unemployed.
4.) Where did you live? Great Falls, VA
5.) Where did you hang out? Cyndi's house (the friend I just visited in FL), Dominion Skating Rink, around Herndon in general with various members of 'The Brew Crew'. Yes, I realize that is a cheesy name for a group of friends.
6). Did you wear glasses?: No
7.) Who was your best friend? Cyndi
8.) Who was your regular-person crush? I think I was dating Danny Marcey around this time of year. He was a football player from a school in another county. Nicest guy I ever dated.
9.) How many tattoos did you have?: The same number as I have now.
10.) How many piercings did you have?: Just my ears.
11.) What car did you drive?: The imaginary kind.
12.) Had you been to a real party yet? What qualifies as 'real'? I assume this means drinking parties, and yes, I had.
13.) Single/Taken/Married/Divorced/Bitter: Dating.
10 YEARS AGO
1.) How old were you? 24
2.) Where did you go to school? I didn't.
3.) Where did you work?: I was a receptionist at a ready-mix concrete plant.
4.) Where did you live? I'd just purchased my first home in Leesburg, VA.
5.) Where did you hang out? My house, Becky & Manny's house, Richard & Tracey's house.
6.) Did you wear glasses?: Yes, but it was a fairly recent thing.
7.) Who was your best friend?: Becky
8.) How many tattoos did you have?: The same number as I have now.
9.) How many piercings did you have?: Just the ears.
10.) What car did you drive? *thinks* I think I was still driving a 1990 Chevy Cavalier.
11.) Had you been to a real party yet?: Of course.
12.) Been to another country?: Canada
13.) Single/Taken/Married/Divorced/Bitter: Engaged.
NOW
1.) How old are you?: 34
2.) Where do you work?: I work for a government defense contractor.
3.) Where do you live?: Purcellville, VA
4.) Do you wear glasses?: Yep, but only for distance vision. Driving and such.
5.) Who are your best friends? James and Becky.
6.) Do you talk to your old friends?: A few. As I mentioned, I just visited Cyndi (Cynthia now). Periodically I talk to some other friends from my school days.
7.) How many piercings do you have? Still just the ears.
8.) How many tattoos?: Zero
9.) What kind of car do you have? Primarily I drive a 2003 Chysler Sebring convertible. We also have a 2000 Ford Explorer, a 1996 Chevy S-10, and now a 1994 Buick Century. Ironically, the Buick has the lowest mileage by far.
10.) Have you been to a real party yet?: Well, I certainly couldn't take the experiences back, could I?
11.) Has your heart been broken? Sure
12.) Single/Taken/Married/Divorced/Bitter: Married, psuedo-separated, occasionally bitter.
