I need a memory stick. Badly. Badly like 'OMG I NEED A MEMORY STICK!' Must stop by Walmart on the way home and get one of those.

Still no phone or internet at home. Can't get to AOL or GMAIL from work. Can't see attached pic images at work. Can't post/send fic from home, don't have a memory stick to bring it in to work. Going insane.

Why is it only 2:30ish? I want to go home.

Did I mention that I ordered new sheets as a treat to myself? I totally did. I slept on them for the first time last night. 600 tc Egyptian Cotton sateen in a gorgeous, deep red. HEAVEN! Overstock.com is officially my best friend.

Celebrated Mer, James and Manny's birthdays over the weekend. Loads of fun, except Sheridan hogged the baby all night. *giggles* How many nine year olds can happily sit holding a baby from 3:30 - 11:00? She only gave Grayson up when Becky needed to feed her, except for about five minutes each for Richard and Tracey to hold her, and about 30 minutes at the end of the evening when I claimed 'Aunt Kate' privileges.

I've done a little bit of settling in the apartment, but between birthday stuff and just recouping from exhaustion, this weekend was not terribly productive. Little by little it will get done. Want to spur me on? Come visit!

Mer's going to the beach the first week of July with her dad, aunt, and their friends. A week to myself! I'll be simultaneously thrilled and bored.

That's all for now. How are all of you?

You know, I get a email from overstock.com daily, and have eyed those sheets several times, but thought they were too good to be true for the price. They're really worth it?

I'd go nuts without phone & internet at the house. You're an iron woman.

I can't vouch for all the sheets they sell, but these:

are the ones I got. And yeah, I'm loving them. We'll see how well they hold up and whether they start to pill, but they seem very sturdy. The red color I got is stunning, and last night I just rolled around in bed in bliss. Even one of my cats gave up her place on the blanket and got cozy on the exposed sheet. You do need to wash them twice before using them, which is pretty standard for higher thread count sheets from what I gather. Also, they are REALLY deep. They require some extra tucking if you don't have a thick mattress. Some people have reviewed poorly because they get wrinkly if you don't yank them straight from the dryer, but I figure that's just what cotton does. Who's going to look under my blanket anyway? I found them to be very comfortable, and will probably buy more when I get a little extra cash.

Hopefully the internet issue will be fixed tonight!

That link seems to be hanging up. This one might work better.

Who cares if your sheets are wrinkled?

Actually, I think my granny used to iron her sheets after she brought them in from the clothesline.

I am NOT that girl.

You'd be amazed how many people complain about the wrinkles. I can't imagine a circumstance where my sheets and my iron would need to become acquainted. Heck, if my clothes require more than a quick de-wrinkling in the dryer they don't get worn more than twice a year.

I am listening to the ever addicting song 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne.
Come on! Lets dance! :) *dances*

Perhaps I should have read the entry before I just randomly commented...

BTW-- I love calling special aunt privledges :)

Happy Birthday to all who celebrated!

I will be there a week from Thursday! Gah. If only :(

No phone or internet?! *gasp* Poor you! *sends courage* Hope you got the memory stick alright because I'd be dying without a means of communication. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to go over to people's places and talk to them face-to-face.

Mum bought me dark red Sheridan bedsheets which are due for the wash anytime soon, but I can't seem to part with them. *sniffles* I can't imagine what it'd be like for you to have to change you Egyptian cotton sheets. Lucky you.
