My email to the NYT

I decided that the stupidity of a major newspaper printing spoilers in a book review they just couldn't hold on to for a few extra days deserved a response. Here is what I sent them:

"Thank you very much for taking away the pleasure of reading the last book in a beloved series. How hard would it have been to hold off printing your review until the book was released? It's only a few extra days. Do you really fancy that your book reviewer's thoughts are more valuable than the enjoyment of the millions of fans anxiously awaiting their copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? What arrogance, stupidity, and just plain meanness you possess. I hope you're all very pleased with yourselves, because those of us who hoped to read the final Harry Potter book without the 'benefit' of spoilers are not pleased at all.

Since your child tormenting quota seems to have been met, maybe now you can go kick some puppies!

OMG did you read that article?!? I was warned about it, good thing, too, because I usually read the nyt every day. Ohhhhh I am SO pissed at them. I'm going under hiatus from now until I'm done with the book, so ♥ and good for you for sending them that.

Is it sad that anything about Harry Potter I am automatically tuning out because I know everyone in teh world is such blabbermouths?
You never know, this could be a huge ploy from JK Rowling, I doubt it, but she could end up killing everyone with rocks still...
