I'm too tired to do a big time review-y thing, but here's a rambly bit of my thoughts. No paragraphs - I'm just not up to it.
I loved the first several chapters. I was pleased that Dudley came around, although I wish Harry and Petunia had had a heart to heart. I liked that Harry gave Lupin hell for trying to abandon Tonks, although I really don't like that they died. The camping bit was too long, repetitive, and rather dull. Ron's departure was really abrupt, and a bit muddled. I think that whole section was just too much time with only the trio and not enough going on. I loved Neville. LOVED HIM. Even though he didn't hook up with Luna, he rocked my socks. And it didn't specifically say that he doesn't hook up with Luna, so that's all good. I liked the battle scenes. I would've liked to have seen more of Snape. I liked, and was really surprised by the fact that Snape and Lily had been friends since childhood. Never had it crossed my mind that he might be 'that awful boy' Petunia referred to when discussing dementors. The penseive scenes between Snape and Dumbledore made me sick to my stomach. I was very glad when Dumbledore turned out not to be as big an ass as it seemed. I really wanted to have a decisive moment for Draco. It was obvious that he didn't like what he was doing, and his parents were concerned for him, but it would have been nice if he'd been useful in the fight somehow. I was thrilled by Percy's return, and horrified by Fred's death.
That's all for now. I'm going to bed.

I loved Neville, too. Finally. He gets the glory he deserves.

I think that Luna and Dean get together. I mean, they did spend all the time together and I don't remember exactly what page it was, but didn't Dean have his arm around Luna towards the end? I don't know. However, J.K. said that Neville and Luna wouldn't end up together.
When you say sick about the memories is that a gross sick or what? What do you mean by that?
I was HORRIFIED by Fred's death. I mean seriously - WHY WHY WHY did she have to kill him. *cries*
I sort of liked the camping stuff, it made you realise that it was a long time that they were there.
Anyways, its my favourite book of the seven.

The way the Dumbledore/Snape scenes played out made Dumbledore seem very cold towards Harry. Snape thought so too, apparently, since he mentioned that Dumbledore had only been keeping Harry alive so that he could be led 'like a pig to slaughter' at the right moment. After believing for so long that Dumbledore was a fabulous person who dearly loved Harry, those scenes didn't sit well with me - they made me queasy because of his cold, calculated manipulation of Harry. It wasn't until the end when Harry dies-but-not-really, that we see Dumbledore's larger plan, and that he did care for Harry after all.
Yeah, I was all prepared for Percy to kick it, but Fred! Gah. That was heartbreaking.
The camping stuff just seemed really drawn out to me. It was my least favorite part of the book, for sure.
I enjoyed it, but it's not my favorite. I'm one of the few people that liked the 5th book best.

I do agree. I was very glad that Snape was good though. I mean, I sorta new that - but well it was still good to actually know.
The 5th book is my second favourite. I love it too.lol

Sirius-ly.
I was really worried about Dumbledore for a bit. I was freaking out because of everything going on and thinking that he was a huge ass.
I agree with Percy and Fred. I like to think that George had twins and named them both Fred.
