A challenge for [profile] cliodnahpfan

([personal profile] mugglechump Apr. 14th, 2006 12:59 am)
This is really for [profile] cliodnahpfan, since she is the lyric goddess, continuing from yesterday's game. I've trolled my iPod and collected 50 lines from different songs. Can you figure them out? Hopefully these are (mostly) a little harder than the ones yesterday, but I'm not holding my breath waiting to stump you. You're too good at this game.

(Every single one of these came from my iPod. People might wonder why I have some of these on there. The answer is, I am a mook.)

1. I don’t wanna brag, I don’t wanna boast
2. Make me feel real loose, like a long-necked goose
3. Gonna take you back to the old school
4. So I just did me some talking to the sun

6. Seems he was troubled by just one thing
7. Does a mullet make a man
8. Why can’t I be as lucky as those other people are

11. Understand what I’ve become, it wasn’t my design
12. So cruelly you kissed me
13. You’re the utmost
14. Then into the shop, on the day before Christmas, came a poor little girl who was cryin’
15. All they want to do is turn on the reggae beat
16. Your love gives me such a thrill
17. Where they hung the jerk that invented work
18. Brian got busted on a narco rap
19. It hit me from out of the blue
20. You’re the hidden king of rock and roll
21. I can leave it home when I think it’s going to get me in trouble
22. When low and behold there appeared a mirage
23. Well, I might be in a yuppie funk
24. Shoot the juice to me, Bruce
25. When the band finished playing, they howled out for more
26. She was queen for about an hour
27. Which is Arabic for let’s twist again like we did last summer
28. After killing Jason off and countless screaming Argonauts
29. When in doubt, I whip it out
30. There’s a strange one in the jungle and I think I hear it calling my name
31. I use the best, I use the rest
32. But she only comes when she’s on top
33. You all ready for me to drop some science on your ass?
34. In these old familiar rooms children would play
35. To a land where joy shall never end
36. Is it in your kiss or just because you’re sweet?
37. Gonna stamp out your fire, he can change your desire
38. Sweet 16 ain’t so peachy keen
39. So listen up ‘cause you can’t say nothin’
40. But when we rise it’s like strawberry fields

I think I have exhausted my supply of uncommon music. James has much more eclectic taste than I do, but he was sure you'd never get Guyana Punch. I was hoping to get you with Ahab, the Arah; Shipoopi and Detachable Penis. And OH MY GOD, how on earth do you know about The Mighty Stephen Hawking?

I emailed James with your answers and this is what he said:

"Uhhh. I'm dead. No one could have survived that.

How does anyone know Guyana Punch by the Judys but not Anarchy in the UK by the Sex Pistols?"

You're too much!

I knew I knew the Sex Pistols, I just couldn't place the damn song in my head! *feels stupid* And I got so many of them wrong :( My brother has a ken for 'funny music' - like weird al, dr demento, etc - he's where I heard The Mighty Stephen Hawking!

This was sooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!! Ignore the 'bitch' part of my icon... more??????? :D

I don't think I'll be able to do more today. *sniff* I have a deadline coming up and finally have the tools to work on it, so I'll be pretty tied up this afternoon. I even have to come in tomorrow. Major suckage!

I'll see if I can comb the earth for some more stuff this weekend though.

I do have one more off the top of my head. If you don't know this one, then I have major CD burning to do for your kids.

"But it coulda been worse, oh, it coulda been me."

"She says pay attention and do what I said, but if you ask me, she's crazy in the head."

"You can sniffle, you can sneeze, but I'm asking you please"

Ok, so that's more than one, but they are all from the same artist. I've loved him since 5th grade when he came to my school and sang for us.

"Don't put your finger in your eye,
That's not a thing I think you oughta try.
You can blink it, you can wink it,
But I don't think it
Would be good to put your finger in your eye."

ZOMG I HAVE NONE OF THOSE SONGS, and I ♥ Barry Lou! *begs you for them*

You got it!

Meredith will randomly start singing Don't Stick Your Finger Up Your Nose. My personal favorite has always been My Brother Threw Up On My Stuffed Toy Bunny (you'd better not laugh, 'cuz it really isn't funny. It was lyin' in my bed and I was sound asleep, but it coulda been worse, oh, it coulda been me!). My mom is fond of Shut Up in the Library. It's a family thing.
