Spicy Shimmer wins!

The winner of the hair color poll was Spicy Shimmer, so that is what I used tonight. It's not as red as I had expected. It's more of a dark brown with reddish tint. Similar to the color of chili powder. It's not bad, though. Will post pictures when I'm feeling a little more energetic.

Funny things Meredith said to me today as she realized I'd put a little effort into my appearance.

"Why do you look so nice today?"

"ARE YOU WEARING MAKE-UP?!"

"What are you doing?" (I answer that I'm coloring my hair.) "WHAT?! What has gotten into you?"

I have to laugh at that. It seems everyone who has teenagers gets that at some time or other. "How come you're doing that? Why do you look nice?" You'd think there was something in the "Mom" contract that says you can't make yourself look nice without the consent of the offspring!

But I think it's a great idea. I've been eying my grays and thinking that I'm needing to get rid of them.
