On Easter, we went to Richard and Tracey's house after church. Becky and Manny came over, too. The activities director, my niece Sheridan, planned an Easter race. The runners were to run, jump over the wiffle bat, go around the picnic area and back to the starting position. Being fat and unathletic, I decided to photograph the festivities rather than actually participate. Here they are:
Everyone lines up. Meredith decides to give everyone a head start since she's so young and fast. (Notice hands clasped in front of her.)

Manny is first over the wiffle bat. Meredith has not begun to run.

Manny is still in front. Meredith starts running, trailed only by little Maiken.

Around the picnic area they go. Manny is still leading. Mer has passed Sheridan, Pike, Becky and Richard. Maiken seems to have found something else to do. James and Picabo play ball.

Meredith pulls slightly ahead of Manny for a big finish!

That's my kid!
One other photo, just because I like it. Sheridan adores Meredith. Here they are playing that game with the string around your hands that you make into complicated shapes and then magically remove it without it catching on your hands. /run-on sentence.

Edited just to say this:
MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm. Panera Asian Sesame Chicken Salad, how I love you.

...and that last song line has stumped me, though I will never admit defeat!!! If I change two words, it becomes "We Care a Lot" by Faith No More!!!!!!!!

The last song is 'Teenage Enema Nurses In Bondage' by Killer Pussy. It rocks and I am determined to find it. I've seen a couple used copies for sale but no mp3s.
