Events of the day

All clean laundry is put away, except for the pile of sweaters in my bedroom. I need to determine if they still qualify as clean, or if the cats have been using them as a cozy place to take naps. More laundry is being cleaned as I type. Lots more.

My bathroom is clean except for mopping the floor and wiping the gi-freaking-gantic mirror. Yay. Next up: Wiping said mirror (the floor can wait a bit) and sorting through bathroom supplies that are still in boxes.

Meredith just drove off by herself for the first time. In my car. @.@

I need to call Richard & Tracey and see if I'm supposed to babysit the kids tonight.

Also need to pay car payment and buy groceries.

I really want to take a shower. Soon, Kate. Soon.

If buy the ticket, will you come and do mine too? I just can't seem coordinate working nights, sleep, and getting house work done. I'm great at with the work part, iffy at best with the sleep, and absolutely hopeless with the house work part.

House is a gigantic 250 year old, 3 story farmhouse. Foundation is stone, and the basement floor is dirt. The furnace only heats the 1st floor so there are registers in the ceiling (or 2nd story floor) to heat remainder of the house. Hmm, think this is based on the fractured principle: heat rises.

I refer to this as a fractured principle cause as warm air rises during the sub-zero temperatures it also cools down significantly.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am that I give that impression off somewhere. It's completely false, but I love that someone, somewhere thinks I'm organized.

Tell you what, I'll clean yours and you can clean mine. It's always easier to deal with someone else's stuff than to deal with your own.

She passed her driving test on Friday, but I wasn't home to sign for her license so they had to come by on Saturday for me to sign. The license-getting process in VA is odd these days.
