I have nothing interesting to say, I'm just procrastinating about going to work. Which is stupid because I have to get a report done for my Program Manager before his noon meeting. If I left now, I'd get to work somewhere between 9:45 - 10:00, depending on traffic. Not a lot of time to pull shit together for him... Not to mention that the later I get in, the later I come home.
Crap, I'd better just go.
Yesterday I listened to 'Birdhouse in Your Soul' by They Might Be Giants, like, 20 times in a row. I had taken my iPod to work and, for some reason, could not get enough of that song.
'Though I respect that a lot
I'd be fired
If that were my job
After killing Jason off
And countless screaming Argonauts.'
Who can't love a song like that?

My reluctance to go to work was increased exponentially by James' decision to take the day off - just because. So, I'm sitting here being all envious of his house-all-to-himself time. I know he's playing the Sims. I wanna play the Sims. *pout*
On the happy side, I believe Lost is on tonight! It wasn't on last week.

Today's repeatable song is Nemesis by Shriekback. Occasionally I am switching to the hybrid Eminem version - Eminemisis. That's fun to say. It will be on the CDs I'm burning for you.
So far, the 'to burn' list has:
2 Barry Louis Polisar CDs
Shriekback
Lowen & Navarro
Stephen Lynch
and a bunch of miscellaneous songs I have written down at home. Do you already have any of that or is there anything in particular you're looking for a copy of?

I can't think of anything I specifically want :D I don't have anything that you're burning, hee...
*runs home to burn Ben Folds for you, since he's only the bestest EVAR!*

It was maybe 10 years ago that I realized that the song 'Radar Love' is actually the one I'd been singing to for years, mistakenly thinking the lyrics were 'Red Alert'.
Around the same time, a man I worked with broke it to me that Lola was a man.
A few years ago, James explained the meaning of 'Dancing With Myself'.
About a week ago I called James (who is from the Memphis area and a big Elvis fan) and giggled embarrassedly as I told him I had just realized that the song 'Black Velvet' is about Elvis. I'd never paid that much attention to the lyrics.
So, yeah, I'm just pathetic.
