Mugglenet posted a couple of photos of Rupert Grint and James & Oliver Phelps from a trip to Rome (I think, can't remember now) they took recently. It looks like for OotP, the new director has gone back to short hair. That's fine for Rupert but I really rather liked the twins looking a bit shaggy. I can't help it, I grew up in the age of hair bands!

Our annual inspection was yesterday. The realtor was pleased and said we are taking good care of the property. So, now we just have to wait and see if our landlord is going to try to up the rent. We told them that it was our intention to stay in the house until Meredith graduates, so hopefully that, combined with the fact that we're good tenants will keep him from shafting us. We're already pretty close to our upper limit so even another $50 a month is unwelcome.

Need to send Cyndi a wedding present. Need to send my niece a birthday present (it was Tuesday - Sweet Sixteen!). Must go shopping this weekend.

Any 'Lost' fans out there? I so want to beat Locke up. His insecure ass is going to get them all killed. You know that even though the guy that's been claiming to be Henry Gale has turned out to be a fake, Locke will still honor his promise not to let the others hurt him. Dumbass. The previews for next week worry me. I just lost Lem on 'The Shield', 'Lost' had better not kill off Hurley! I can only take so much!

Have I ever mentioned that I work with a lot of young, single people with large salaries? Not all of them, of course, but quite a few. What does a guy in his mid-twenties DO with $82K a year when he only has to support himself? Now there's a problem I'd like to have! All the guys here go out together and party or go to sports events. My supervisor, a single guy of 31, just bought a new Acura and he's not even really excited about it. I'm like, "Dude, all I want is a new couch and bills that don't show up on pink paper marked 'final notice'." That's what I get for putzing around in school and getting pregnant at 16, right? Oh well, lots of people have it worse than I do and my problems are of my own creation, so I shouldn't complain. That kind of freedom would be nice to have, though.

Last night, we ate at a restaurant called Chevy's. It's a tex-mex type place that's in the shopping mall we live kind of close to. Meredith's favorite sporting goods store, Dick's Sporting Goods, just moved from a smaller location nearby to a two-story monster store attached to the mall. Can I just say that it is embarrassing to have your teenaged daughter sitting in a restaurant talking loudly about wanting to go see 'the big Dick's'. Why would anyone name there store something like that?

Some kids on the bus were giving Meredith a hard time yesterday so today she and her friend, Robert, walked to school rather than deal with the jerks on the bus. This isn't a big deal, the school isn't far from us. I thought it was very sweet of Robert to walk with her though. He's a good friend.
