I got Emmie's card today! YAY! And I got a pretty card from Joanna (orpheus_samhain in Poland! Thank you so much! I was so excited!

My Christmas shopping is finally done. I'll probably pick up a couple little stocking stuffers when I'm grocery shopping tomorrow, but other than that I'm finished. Thank God. I always end up rushing around at the last minute and buying things that I look at later and wonder what I was thinking.

I got a new cell phone plan today. Told James he could cancel me off his plan after Christmas. I can't use my new phone until then because if Meredith saw it she would know that I got her a phone, too. She celebrated with her dad and his family today. She made out like a bandit.

My brother-in-law has adopted a new cat, which he's giving to his wife for Christmas (because his two bedroom apartment wasn't crowded enough with the three other cats and five people that already live there). In the meantime, the new kitty is bunking at our place. She's a few years old and SO sweet. I go in and spend time with her in the spare room and she crawls all over me, purring and nuzzling. Picabo is very curious about her, but Mia is freaking out. She's been hissing at Lucky & Jinx, and hiding under the furniture ever since James brought the new kitty home. As much as I like her, I'll be glad when we can take her to her new home. I feel badly that she's locked away and alone most of the time, and I know Mia will be a lot happier one she's going.

That's all I can manage right now. I need to go make the bed, and then sleep in it.

Calling all skinny flisters

I've been sorting through Meredith's clothes, pulling out the things that either don't fit or that she won't wear anymore. Most of it will go to our friend Michele's daughter Taylor or a local thrift store, but there are a few nicer items that I thought I'd offer up to anyone on here that would like them. Once I get my camera back from Richard & Tracey, I can put pictures up of anything you might like to see.

I may find more, but here are a few items:

- A&F tan pants, size 0, low rise, flared, very good condition - Mer hasn't worn them enough to even scrape up the bottoms.

- Miss Sixty pink ribbed pants, I think they are size 27. These were advertised as low rise, but they aren't really. I couldn't return them.

- Betsey Johnson mini-dress, rust with gold, size tag is missing but probably sm/med, stretchy material. I bought this second hand, and it's got some little pulls, but it's still very wearable.

American Eagle green v-neck sweater, size small, good condition.

Victoria's Secret 'Body by Victoria' wireless bras, size 34B. Varying amounts of use, but with plenty of wear left in them. I bought them when Meredith would only wear wireless bras, now she'll only wear bras with underwire.

Christmas Eve :D

It's Christmas Eve, and I'm sitting in my holiday (semi-)finery waiting for the other two members of the household to finish getting ready for Midnight Mass. We haven't been to church in FOREVER. Honestly, we haven't been in a long, long time, and I'm excited to go. Candles, community, singing, and joyful anticipation of the day to come. This is what I love about this time of year.

This time tomorrow I'll be thinking, "All that preparation and stress, and it's over already?", but for now I'll enjoy this last bit of the wait and think about how very blessed I am.
