Sometimes I look around and wonder how things changed. Other times I wonder if they haven't actually changed and in reality I just missed something critical in my original evaluation. Maybe it's both? Whatever it is, it makes me sad. I'm tired of being sad.

Cheer up, kid! It gets better. Or you learn to ignore it. Whatever comes first, hopefully it comes fast.

I've found, in the past, that I tend to give things the benefit of the doubt. I've always considered myself a pessimist, but if I actually *was*, when something disappointed me I shouldn't be surprised... yet I always am.
I'm sorry you're sad, and I hope they get better.

For what it's worth, I don't think you missed anything critical. I think you are a good person who gives the benefit of the doubt. That's all I'll say for now. I wish you happiness soon. I am frown-y because you are sad.
