Questions for others and my brainiac niece

I finally got around to asking stellarlyssa and water_jade interview questions. They are in the comment section of my post from 5/22, where I answer heyurs' questions. Thanks for playing the game, chickies!

Got a call from Mer's dad last night. Her purse got stolen, along with her ID. I had to fax a copy of her birth certificate out to them this morning so that she'd be allowed on the plane to get home.

Yesterday, James and I went to Richard and Tracey's. My brilliant niece, Sheridan, read me a story she had written for school. It was a pretty well thought out and coherent piece, considering she's eight. She read it very dramatically; Sher's a born actress. Pike, my five year old nephew, saw that Sheridan was getting lots of positive attention for her story, so he decided to tell me one of his own. His story was a variation on Sher's, with character's names changed so that he could claim it as his own. Sheridan looked at me after Pike finished, rolled her eyes and said, "Similar characterizations." I about died. That girl never fails to amaze me.

Well, just think, she'd have been able to stay in Hawaii. Who wouldn't want to do that. LOL. Though I know what you're getting at.

Sher sounds like my cousin Shelby. A lot. She's older, now, but she was exactly that way when she was eight or nine. Though I don't think she ever said, 'Similar characterizations.' Wow!

Yeah, sometimes I think Sher's too smart for anybody's good. When she was three, she was trying to build a tower with tinker toys and it kept falling over. She didn't know how to fix the problem on her own, but she knew what it was. She told me, "I need to stabilize it." She's a hoot!
