Here's an icon I made for her. She's really into the whole sunglasses thing. She's cute though, huh? Considering that neither of her parents are especially good looking, I think she made out alright.
My audit went well yesterday. I only got dinged in one area and that was just for a lack of back-up documentation for one item. Now the program has a new Program Manager and a new Project Controller and they can take over this hellish thing.
Went to Maiken's birthday party today and saw some folks I hadn't seen varying degrees of 'quite a while'. Maiken is youngest of my brother-in-law's children. Richard and Tracey also have a girl, Sheridan and another son, Pike. Becky and Manny were there and we hadn't seen them in a couple months. During a good portion of the year, their weekends are spent at craft shows selling the candles they make so social events are hard to plan with them. (BTW, if you don't know Becky & Manny, they make GREAT candles. Check 'em out at - www.auntbeckyscandleshoppe.com) Renee was there. We only really see her at our niece's and nephews' birthday parties so the last time we saw her was probably last August for Pike's birthday. She brought along the guy she's seeing. He's a bit shy, I think. He didn't talk much. Chris and his fiance came, which was a nice surprise. It had been over four years since I'd seen him. He's grown into a very likable guy. His fiance is a bit of a hellcat but generally good natured. We wrestled around with the kids, at some yummy food and played Loaded Questions. The only damper on the day was that Becky and I both have colds and I got a headache as it got later into the evening. Hopefully we'll all be healthy next week when we go to Becky and Manny's for the Superbowl.
I did mail the package today. (Yay me!) Realized belatedly that I had sent it with nothing other than the return address to indicate who it was from. Not a big deal, but I had planned to send a card. I'll have to send it separately and maybe drop MB an email to make sure she receives it.
