Nothing much to report, I just felt like posting something since I skipped yesterday.
Mer's dad took her driving in his little SUV, which has a stick shift. He says she did pretty well for a first try. Mer says that's WAY TOO MUCH to pay attention to.
I've got the Explorer today. James needed the pick-up to run our grill out to Richard and Tracey's place. We're going over there tomorrow and they've invited a few other people, so they needed a bigger grill to accomodate all the food. The best part of going to R&T's is that you can see fireworks from the common area of their apartment complex - meaning it's unnecessary to fight traffic and crowds at the actual venues. Mer will be going to the little fair in our town with her friend Ray. Technically, she's grounded, but I extended the grounding through Friday in exchange for letting her out tomorrow. I seriously wish that girl would stay out of trouble.
It appears to be raining again. Not the torrential downpours like we had last week, but still.
My tomato plants are flourishing. My watermelon plant is finally making progress. My two green bean bushes look at little undernourished, but I fed them some Miracle Grow, so hopefully they will perk up. The lettuce looks good, but I have to constantly pick off those little green midgies that munch on it. I hate those things. My four onions are coming along nicely. I have one mystery plant. For the life of me, I cannot remember what it is. I suspect it's a bell pepper plant, but only time will tell.
Sharlene has convinced me to join A World Without, so I'm working on my application to play Lucius. I hope to finish it up tonight. I'm excited. I've never done an RP before. I'm a little nervous, too. I've never done an RP before! I'll be interacting with Shar and Thalia a lot of the time, I think, so it'll be fun. Thalia's Narcissa is a scary woman! Lucius may need to check his tea for poison.
Anyhoo, time to go home. If I don't catch you tomorrow - Happy Indepence Day!!!

My little town doesn't have fireworks, alas. But several of the neighboring ones do, and I can see three shows if I sit at the top of my driveway. They're quite distant, of course, but it's still neat. And my parents always have a party on the fourth, so it's easier to stay home than to try and go somewhere.
Good luck with your mystery plant! *giggles*

I applied for an RP role one time...I got shot down :( I really thought it was good, too. Some of the others trying to get in thought so as well. The "big-wigs" told me I wrote in in the wrong person and therefore was ineligible. I told them the "person" wasn't specified in the rules and don't I get a second chance?? *sigh* Oh well. Ruined me FOREVER! HA! *giggles*
I hope you have a wonderful Independence Day, too, hon!! *huggles*

That's terrible that they turned you down. (I hadn't considered that possibility, and am now nervous.) I probably would never have thought of it, but Myn was very convincing. I think it will be fun.
Are you taking Trei to see the fireworks?
*hugs*

Were we doing crystal meth when the bit about them being East Indian was made apparent? And were we possibly shagging ourselves when the bit about purple-prosy-descriptioned Mary Sues being BAD was discussed?
Ah well. It'll be fun!
And Cissa isn't THAT scary *she bats her illegally long eyelashes and blows a kiss at Lucius* XD
