More proof that I am really failing in my attempt to stay 'well-read'.

Currently Reading: Only fanfic. Bad Kate!

Next Reading: Probably more Jane Austen, although I need to pick up some new authors, too.
Last Book Read: ‘Valiant’ by Holly Black, I think. I’m pretty sure that’s the last one I read all the way through. I frequently read little snippets from favorite books, though.

Last Book Bought: I don’t recall.

Longest Book Owned: Maybe ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, but I can’t be certain. Possibly one of the Earth’s Children books by Jean Auel.

Shortest Book Owned: Chicken Soup with Rice, maybe?

Favorite Book: I can’t choose. ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice’ are definitely up there. The Harry Potter’s are high up on the list. There are others, I just don’t know.
Book Read the Most Times: ‘Watchers’ or ‘Lightning’ by Dean Koonz or ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, if I had to make a guess.

Least Favorite Book: It’s a three way tie. ‘The Great Gatsby’, ‘The Scarlet Letter’, or ‘Bonfire of the Vanities’.

Favorite “Serious” Fiction: I don’t really understand the question. Does this mean dramatic fiction or fiction that deals with a serious issue? I’ll go with Lys’ answer. ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee, even though it’s really not exactly fiction, but a fictionalized account of her childhood.

Favorite Comedy: ‘Lamb – The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal’ by Christopher Moore

Favorite Classic: ‘Sense and Sensibility’ or ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen

Favorite Shakespeare: ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Favorite Poetry Collection/Poet: I don’t know. My favorite poem is probably ‘Patterns’ by that person whose name I can never remember in connection with the poem. I like a lot of poets, though, thanks to Mr. Dubin’s 10th grade English class.

Favorite Fantasy: Harry Potter, although ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ by Madeline L’Engle is probably fantasy, right? So, yeah, that too.
Favorite Sci-Fi: I don't really read sci-fi

Favorite Non-Fiction: Hmm, it’s been a long time. ‘Manchild in the Promised Land’ by Claude Brown, maybe.

Favorite Historical Fiction: Is the Earth’s Children series considered historical fiction? It’s really pre-historical fiction, but whatever, I’ll say ‘The Valley of Horses’ by Jean Auel anyway.

Favorite Chick/Lad Lit: Bridget Jones's Diary

Favorite Horror: More thriller than horror, but ‘Watchers’ and ‘Lightning’ by Dean Koonz will do for this category.

Favorite YA: ‘The Outsiders’ or ‘Rumble Fish’ by S.E. Hinton

Favorite Manga/Comic/Graphic Novel: I don’ really do the comic thing, that’s more my husband’s line. If I had to choose, I’d say ‘X-Men’.

Favorite “Other” Genre: Reference books. I heart reference books like whoa!
Favorite Series: Gah! I’m too indecisive for all this ‘favorite’ stuff. Series’ I like are: Harry Potter, Earth’s Children, Anne of Green Gables, Little House, and I used to really get into Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Milhone books, but I’ve fallen out of the habit now.

Favorite Short Story: ‘Charles’, I don’t remember who wrote it. It was in one of my advanced reading books in 5th or 6th grade.

Favorite Play: Outside of Shakespeare, I haven’t really read very many plays.

Best Book Read this Year: ‘Lamb’ by Christopher Moore

Worst Book Read this Year: I haven’t read a bad book this year.
