I left work yesterday, dropped Becky off at an appointment, and drove her car back to her house where I picked up my car. (Manny picked Becky up from the appt. - I didn't just ditch her.) Then I went shopping and bought quite a lot. 4 pairs of pants, 3 skirts, 3 shirts, a skort, 2 pairs of shorts, 6 pairs of undies, and new sneakers. Whew! Everything, except for 3 pairs of pants, was on sale. So, I still spent a lot of money - especially considering I was shopping for myself, which I almost never do - but I got pretty good deals on most of what I bought.
I got home about 8:00. James had gone straight to the gym from work, and hadn't gotten home yet. Meredith had left a note that she was at her boyfriend's watching movies. I went to feed the animals, only to find I had no water. Apparently I missed that bill. Crap. I hadn't seen a disconnection notice on the door, but eventually found it downstairs on top of the dirty laundry. Meredith had brought it in, but since the water was still running when Josh came to get her, so she didn't bother to call and tell me so I could get over to the town building before they closed. All the local hotels were booked. So, yeah, we spent last night with no water. I went to the grocery and bought bottled water, baby wipes, and hand sanitizer so we could brush our teach and clean up a little. This morning James and I went up to the gym he belongs to and used the showers there. I stopped by the town building and paid the water bill, so things should be fine now. Gah, that sucked. I really need to get organized.
After running that errand, I went to the dentist for my two crowns. The novacaine is wearing off, and I'm feeling a little bit of pain, so I'll have to take some ibuprofen shortly. I've had enough fun for one day. Can I go home now?

Yeah, going without water just sucks. Thank goodness the folks at the gym too pity on me - I don't even have a membership there.

YAY for new clothes. My old shoes were probably 10 years old, and literally had several pieces missing from the sole. I tend to use things until they fall apart, both for frugality and because I hate shopping for myself. I could shop all day for Mer, she's like my own personal life-size Barbie. *grins*
