Song Title Meme
This is a twist on the Letter Meme. Instead of coming up with ten items for a certain letter, you come up with five song titles for a certain letter and explain why you picked them.

1. My List – Toby Keith
Under an old brass paperweight is my list of things to do today
Go to the bank and the hardware store, put a new lock on the cellar door
I cross 'em off as I get 'em done but when the sun is set
There's still more than a few things left I haven't got to yet
Go for a walk, say a little prayer
Take a deep breath of mountain air
Put on my glove and play some catch
It's time that I make time for that
Wade the shore and cast a line
Look up a long lost friend of mine
Sit on the porch and give my girl a kiss
Start livin', that's the next thing on my list
I don’t care if you like country or not, who doesn’t identify with this? There is always way too much to do, and not nearly enough time to enjoy the important parts of our lives.
2. Mack the Knife – Bobby Darin
Oh, the shark has pretty teeth dear
And he shows em, pearly white
Just a jack knife has macheath dear
And he keeps it way out of sight
When that shark bites with his teeth, dear
Scarlet billows begin to spread
Fancy gloves though has macheath dear
So theres never, never a trace of red
On the sidewalk, one sunday morning
Lies a body, just oozin life
Someones sneaking round the corner
Could that someone be mack the knife
First off, I am stupidly just realizing the origin of Dawnie’s fic title, ‘The Shark Has Pretty Teeth’. That’s awesome. ‘Lies a body, just oozin’ life’ is a great line, as is the one about scarlet billows. I love the violence packaged in such a happy sounding song.
3. Money – The Flying Lizards
The best things in life are free
But you can give them to the birds and bees

You love gives me such a thrill
But your love won't pay my bills

This song is pretty much the theme of the decade in which I grew up. And it’s funny. It’s all about the giggles for me.
4. Mystery – Indigo Girls
But you like the taste of danger
It shines like sugar on your lips
And you like to stand in the line of fire
Just to show you can shoot straight from you hip
There must be a 1000 things you would die for
I can hardly think of two
But not everything is better spoken aloud
Not when I’m talking to you
Oh the pirate gets the ship and the girl tonight
Breaks a bottle to christen her
Basking in the exploits of her thief
She’s a very good listener
Maybe that’s all that we need
Is to meet in the middle of impossibility
Were standing at opposite poles
Equal partners in a mystery
I’ve like this song for far longer than I’ve been a D/G shipper, but there are elements of this song that make think of them. The first section I’ve copied sums up fairly well what I imagine Draco would think of his little Gryffindor girl.

Ok, honestly, this song just makes me laugh. It’s got a bouncy tune, and I just love it.
