The Draco Trilogy is done. I won't post any spoilers here, but it would be accurate to say I'm a bit emotional about what happens. Everything was wrapped up very well. A part of me is very sad that it's all over now, though. That's the thing about stories we love, we long to know what happens, but when we find out it's bittersweet because there's nothing else to look forward to.

"I can't say I don't love you," he said in measured tones, "because it would be a lie. I love you. I think I have for longer than I've known it. I tried not to love you. I didn't want to love you. I did all I could to push you away, but in some way, somehow, I have found that you are -- to me -- essential."
*sighs happily*
We will have to discuss things when we are next both online!

Probably my favorite line:
"It certainly is a love note," she said coldly, and then, slightly less coldly, "but Harry, you haven't got silvery hair, or moonlight colored eyes, or -- my goodness," she finished, flushing a dark red. "I have a feeling this letter was meant to be private."
And yes, we'll have to talk. ;D

I'm supposing she drove a stake through the hearts of D/G fans everywhere.
I stopped reading it ages ago for a number (really rather bitchy reasons) that I will spare you from since I like you so much :)

I had no idea there was this level of antipathy for CC among my flist. Ah well, to each there own, right?

I've noticed that it's the older fandom members who tend to eschew Cassie Claire. There is a lot of history surrounding her, and not all of it very favorable.

And getting to the point, I am certainly feeling mixed emotions about the ending of the DT myself. Besides the fact that I never really appreciated all the quoted lines, watching the evolution of Cassie's writing and style has been a fun ride. To me, the connection with the story has less to do with the time investment and more to do with the depth of the characters portrayed. And yay for the D/G goodness!
BTW, hello there! *waves* I friended you through D/G. I hope you don't mind.

I started reading the DT sometime in the last 18 months or so. I enjoyed seeing the improvement of Cassie's writing, too, as I read through each of the installments, and I love the different dynamics between the characters. I'm very sad to see it end, even though I was happy with the way it ended.
