I'm still at work. Bleh. Pretty soon I'm going to call it a day. I don't think I can finish what I'm doing without talking to the PM or the Division Manager, both of whom have already left. So, I'm going to be late getting my stuff to Tiff, but she can bite me.

James just called to say the A/C is out again. The A/C dude came out on Monday and couldn't find anything wrong beyond a dirty filter (which we change regularly, but apparently need to do more often than recommended), and dirt on the external unit whic the A/C dude cleaned off himself as James and I are not professionals. So, yeah. The rental folks are gone for the day, so we've got at least one night with no A/C. Hopefully we'll get service quicker this time around. At least it's not the weekend again, and it hasn't been as hot the last few days. *sigh*

On a happier note, Delaney and Lys did a voice post. That was fun to listen to. Although, Lys didn't say 'Minnesota' like I asked her to. *pokes Lys* *grins*

Ah well, back to the grindstone so that I can get out of this lonely office, and head to my overheated house. Maybe I'll put the top down tonight, unless it looks like rain. *geeky convertible squee*

Ugh. I can't decide which is worse--the fact that you had to work late or that your A/C is out again. I sympathize completely. Good luck getting everything done and fixed.

And I don't know Lys, but I *am* a native Minnesotan. And I want to assure you that we don't *all* say 'Minnesota' in the way I suspect you asked her to say it. :)

I hope the rest of your evening improves!

Hee! I didn't request that Lys says it any particular way, I just wanted to hear the way she would say it. Lys doesn't have a heavy Minnesotan accent, just enough that you can tell what part of the country she's from. :D

The A/C isn't too big a problem tonight. The air is fairly cool, and not too sticky. I do hope we get it fixed quickly, though.

I'm glad you're not suffering too much without the A/C. And I guess I know what you mean about the accent. I have a friend from high school that I am not in regular contact with, but when I go home and see her, I always marvel at her accent, even though I grew up two miles away from her. I like to think I don't have an accent myself (and maybe I don't, having lived in other states for a total of 13 years), but I wonder. :)

I don't think I have an accent, either. I'm a native Virginian, but I'm from northern VA, near Washington, DC. The area is so diverse because of the transplanted folks that come to work for the government or with the government that there isn't really a specific dialect here.
