It's Friday! Yay! And, so far, I'm off to a pretty good start. I slapped my snooze button this morning, only to have James start goofing around to get me out of bed at a reasonable time. He made jokes, showed me a catalog with UGA items he wants to get for Picabo, wrestled with me, and was a generally goofy pain in my butt (in a good way - I was laughing pretty hard).

I got to the office and talked to one of my PMs. I need to open some charge numbers for him and set up a spend plan for the quick turn around program we're doing. It is thanks to this program that I am eating a free ham omelette, and yummy fried potatoes with bacon, and fresh strawberries. They brought breakfast in for the folks working the program, and whatever was leftover they let the rest of us have. This is the second time this week I've gotten a nice breakfast at no cost to me. Yay!

Meredith has another tournament this weekend. She has four games. Saturday at 12:50 and 3:30 (hot!), and Sunday at 7:30 and 10:10 - yes in the morning. She has to be at each game 45 minutes early to warm up, so I have to get her to Reston by 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, meaning I need to leave my house by 6:10 or so. Ick! So, no staying up late for me tomorrow. The other bad thing is that the early morning game is against a team we absolutely hate. They are cheap shot artists, and the last (or second to last) time we played them, they injured ALL THREE of our keepers. On purpose. There is one girl that causes most of the trouble, but her coach doesn't do anything to rein her in. I know that Mer's coach will talk to the refs before the game, so that they know to be on the lookout, but it's to the point that if they start tripping and shoving and whatnot, our girls are likely to give the same treatment back with a vengence. It could be an ugly game.

I hope Mer's game doesn't turn ugly. There's nothing worse than watching kids sport go that way. I thought football was bad for getting up early *blinks* That time on a Sunday morning is just rude!

Thank, me too. The tournaments don't usually start quite that early, but they had to add an extra team to our age group because there weren't enough teams signed up for the older girls to have a separate set of games just for them.

Our problems with this team have been going on for a couple of years. Fortunately, they aren't in the same league as Mer's team so we don't play them during the regular season, only when they happen to be in a tournament together. There are two league in my area for girls - WAGS and ODSL. WAGS is the more competitive, and that's where Mer is playing this season. Teams usually play in ODSL while they are on the WAGS wait list, but this other team can't be accepted into WAGS because their club doesn't have enough fields to meet the WAGS requirements.

At least you can be thankful they don't play the regular season together and probably won't ever get to :)
