I have been a little productive today. I cleaned two bathrooms. Well, technically, I cleaned a half bath and the toilet and sink in another bathroom. The tub in that bathroom is never used, so generally a good rinse to get rid of the dust that accumulates is all that it needs. Tomorrow, the goal is to clean my entire master bath, which has toity and sink, shower stall, and a tub/shower combo. I'd like to do the bathroom and kitchen floors, too, if I can motivate myself to do it. And I need to go to the grocery store and do laundry.

Mer is at her dad's until late tomorrow night. I let her drive to his house in the pick-up - she prefers driving that to my little car which has a number of bad blind spots. She's been so busy with her social life that she hasn't driven for quite awhile. This was the first time she drove on a toll road, and the longest specific trip she's driven on. Her dad lives about 40 minutes from us. She only really scared me when we were in a lane with concrete barriers on one side. Mer tends to hug the right side of her lane and those things were starting to look awfully close. All was well, though. On my way home, however, the check engine light came on and the engine or transmission started acting up a bit. *headdesk*

Did I ever tell y'all the second bit of news we had about Mer's suddenly absent boyfriend, Edward? Not only did she find out that he'd gone off to boot camp, but apparently he had another girlfriend - a 35-year old! - while he was seeing Meredith. However, just a few minutes ago, we got a call from the number of the house Edward was living in across the street. So, I don't know what's going on. He may be back, but he's too late now. Meredith doesn't go boyfriendless long. She's dating a guy named Corey now.

Last night we went to Macaroni Grill with Becky and Manny. We don't go there very often, but oh, it was yummy. I got the create-your-own pasta with penne pasta, roasted garlic cream sauce, chicken, apple-cured bacon, broccoli, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. It was pretty cheap, and plentiful enough that I had leftovers for dinner tonight, too. And it was yummy, but I think I mentioned that already.

On the 'Kate is a bad person' front: Ayla, my wonderfully patient friend, I am ALMOST finished with your story. I will have it to you before the long weekend is over. I will. Or I will give you $20. Thank you for not being supremely irritated with my slowness, or at the very least, not showing it. I'm really sorry that I've been taking so long.

Man, I wish that I didn't need to go boyfriendless.

19 and never had an actual boyfriend in my entire life. How sad is that?

Ah, you're just waiting for a decent one to come along. No worries!

Mer changes boyfriends nearly as often as she changes her clothes. I'm not sure that's really preferable to never having had one. When you go from one boy to the next, to the next... there isn't really anything special about the relationship. It's just a convenient title for two people that would hang out any way, who've suddenly decided they may as well kiss.

Yah, well I don't know if a decent one is coming around! =P

Seems I never have feelings reciprocated. Haha, I know the feeling with "hey we are already friends.." sadly that never works for me, because they are so close as a friend it is just quite weird.

When you're finished your bathroom I have one that needs a bit of scrubbing ;P

On Mer's exboyfriend... what a louse!

Yeah, and he really seemed like a pretty nice kid. His parents are real screw-ups, though, so I guess Edward didn't escape them unscathed.

If you want to pay for me to come down there to clean it, I'm in! I've always wanted to visit your part of the world. *wistful sigh*

Oh I'll pay you! Let's see the going rate for domestic cleaners is about $15 an hour, how's that sound? Of course, we don't pay traveling expenses, but they should be tax deductible ;)

It's no problem. I know you've been busy, and things have been tying you up. It would be rude to get all RAWR because of something so little.
