Ok, so here's a cheap recipe I like. It's inexpensive, easy, freezes well and makes a decent amount. It's not a Pud quality recipe, but it's good for quick and easy meals, weekday lunch, etc...
Frontier Chowder (I have no idea why they call it this.)
1 can Bean with Bacon soup, condensed
1 can Bean with Ham soup, not condensed
1 can corn
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 lb. ground turkey
2-3 slices of bacon, cooked (optional)
Brown the ground turkey, drain off any fat. In a large pot, combine everything except the bacon. Heat it up on the stove, like you would any other soup or stew. Serve with crumbled bacon on top (or not). Add salt & pepper if you feel you need it.
