I am still collecting addresses for holiday mail (and random mail in other seasons). Comments are screened. Clicky here: I WANT MAIL!

Also, I am contemplating a road trip over Thanksgiving weekend (though not actually ON Thanksgiving). I know of three people I could hit in one fell swoop by heading down 95 if they are available & wouldn't mind me coming to town to say howdy. It's holiday season, so I don't want to impose myself on anyone if they really don't have the time for visiting with non-family and RL friends. If that doesn't work out, I'm open to suggestions if anyone else lives within a distance I could drive to and from over the course of a long weekend. I live in Northern VA.

Mer and I had dinner with my mom and my brothers last night. It was good to see Chris again. He's leaving Saturday, but he'll probably be back up in a few weeks.

I have eaten too much of the candy Urs sent me this morning. My tummy is saying enough with the sugar. Perhaps I should try actual lunch-type food now. I need to head out anyway, so I can mail the package that's in my car to MN.

I'm using my Roiben icon because he is one tasty fairie.

Becky just walked into my office and startled the crap out of me. That woman needs a bell or something, it's not natural to be that quiet.

As a break from writing last night, I went to Border's and bought the paperback copy of Valiant so seeing this icon makes me want to squee just a smidge.

You should come visit me although I'm not sure it's feasible within a three day span. Virginia to Chicago? Hmmm...

Yay for brothers! Not so yay for candy-aches!

My geography is sufficiently sucky that I have no idea how long it would take to drive to Chicago. I'll have to go to MapQuest and see, if for no other reason than possible future trips!

Yay Valiant! I'd have a Ravus icon if I could find art of him. Ravus is not as pretty as Roiben, but he's so lovable.

Since I did the dinner thing last night, I have not started writing yet - but - I went to Borders last night, TOO! Meredith wanted to pick up the next Gossip Girl book.

I guess we just have similar minds. That, and Border's is like geek-central and magnetically pulls me towards it every week or so.

*searches for Ravus icon* Not finding any. I don't think there is enough fanart for that book. *pouts*

Yay for future roadtrips! I shall steal you for some fun Gina adventures!

Border's is just far enough away that I don't spend my entire paycheck there. It's a good thing.

Fun Gina Adventures! It's like a UPN kid's show!

No, there isn't much fanart for Valiant. I'm thinking of appealing to Holly Black's husband, Theo. He did the Roiben art that I used for the icon.

*huggles back*

So, Miss Urs, if I were to float down your direction sometime over the long Thanksgiving weekend, would you have time to visit a little or are you going to be tied up with family and church stuff?

Are you kidding?? I would love that!! I wasn't sure if you would want to drive that far! :D! I'm not sure if my brother will be here or not & no church stuff! *squeeeeeeeeeee* X)

If I have the cash to pull it off and the people involved are available and willing, I'd like to drive down to Savannah to see Sharlene, stop in Chapel Hill on the way back up, and then say hello to Cyn once I get back in VA. It's not a lot of time, but that's ok. I don't want to take up too much of anyone's time off. I would just love to take a 'me' trip and meet a few friends!

I scare everyone too. Someone told me that too. I need a bell. But then, we could learn to walk without ringing said bell. MUHAHAHAHAH OMG YEY NANO!

I finally started my NaNo writing! Woot for me! I don't have a lot to show for it just yet, but that's the problem with trying to write while being at work. People seem to think I should be doing what they pay me for. Pfft.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!

You can drive to St. Louis! *giggle* Yah, pretty far away.

*sigh* St. Louis is a little farther than I think I can get on this trip. However, you and I should both go up to Chicago to visit Gina sometime. Chicago would be fun. Probably better in the summer than the winter, though. :D

*is, as far as she knows, the only person significant enough in MN for Kate to send a package to*

*is now beaming*

*also squee'd a little*

MN is a little too far for a road trip, alas. Some other time, perhaps. With more than a weekend on our hands.

*hugs tight*

Yes, MN is a little out of range. I expect you already have Thanksgiving weekend plans anyway, though. Are you going home?

We do need to visit sometime, though. I'd come to Italy to see you, but everyone's doing it and I'd just look like a copy cat. (Right, like THAT would stop me!) One day...

*sings* Someone's getting mail! Someone's getting mail!
