I voted last night with no hassle. Yay.
Virginia's Senate race is too close to call, and I've just learned that state officials have decided not to declare a winner until November 27th. November 27th!!??!!! *grumbles* Jim Webb has declared himself the victor over George Allen already, though, and if I weren't already in support of Allen, Webb's arrogance would've made me want him to lose. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he has to eat some humble pie in the coming weeks. Come on absentee voters!
Obviously, the loss of control of the House to the Democrats doesn't thrill me, but I am mollified slightly by the fact that losing the House will make it harder for the rampant spending that's been going on to continue. Also, Frank Wolf is still my Representative. He's not as conservative as I would like, but he's done alright, and Lord knows he's better looking than his challenger. Seriously folks, look up Judy Feder. Dogs run from this woman. I heard one person comment, "When I first got a flyer about her, I thought it was a man in drag!" (And don't comment to me about how looks shouldn't matter. I'm not saying it was a factor in my decision to vote for Wolf, just making a general comment that this woman hit every branch on her way out of the fugly tree.)
I'm taking bets on how long it will be before Nancy Pelosi starts trying to get Bush impeached. That woman's a loon.
Ok, that's enough of my ranting. Politics ebbs and flows, and this election wasn't really a surprise. Maybe later I'll post a more thoughtful narrative, or maybe I'll let others (like
mynuet do it for me.

Wait, me and you and Mer could so move into a townhome or something together! Oh it would be so darn cute! I can play the bad parent when she brings boys home, scare them at the door with a large baseball bat!

Apparently, they have found where Webb was inadvertantly given 1500 more votes than he was supposed to have in Stafford county...
