So, I have work to do. I have cleaning to do. I have bills to pay. I have due-in-less-than-a-week fic to write and get betaed. (Who's available for last minute betaing on Friday-or-possibly-early-Saturday? Anyone? Anyone? *puppy eyes*) What am I doing? I'm poking around online. What did I do yesterday? Why I played on the computer, of course! Maybe if I ignore all these things, they will go away. Maybe? Maybe not. *cough*
My mom is making pork roast for Thanksgiving. Pork roast. This is my disappointed face. :(
A happy note, Becky brought me beef & barley stew for lunch! YUM! I haven't had that in so long!
Have I mentioned before that what they pass off as coffee in my office has to be mud in disguise? Seriously, I must have dumped a quarter cup of powdered creamer into my little styrofoam cup and it's still saddle-tan brown. Blech. And yet I still drink it because I can't get out of the house early enough to make a Starbucks run in the morning - which is probably a good thing for my bank account.
Meredith went with her dad to watch the Cowboys game yesterday (they are rabid Cowboys fans), and then they went out to eat. He brought her home around ten last night, which was fine, but without warning me he also brought over his new girlfriend to meet me. Luckily I was not in my pajamas, but I hadn't showered, the house was a mess, I had to talk to Meredith about a call I got from her history teacher, and James was being sort of rude under the guise of joking around. She seems like a nice enough woman, but I doubt I could have come across worse if I tried.

Well...you weren't coming across bad on purpose...there were quite a few things going on there...
Is history going OK for Mer?

History is always a challenge for Mer, and she doesn't get on very well with her teacher. We're in for a long year.

I just hate looking like a complete pid when I meet people. A little warning would be nice. Oh well.

Anyway *dies laughing* I want to be an ostrich, too. And I've tasted coffee like that... gross.

Oh yes! Forum people. You should meet them. And the other folks, too, just because they are cool. Starting from the top, may I present:
Ayla
Joanna
Urs
Lyndsie
Jen
(you, obviously)
Emmmie
Gina
Everyone - this is Delaney. She's awesome.

*waves* Hi Delaney! I'm Urs and I'm demanding...in a good sort of way! ;)

Anyway. Hi. Demandingness is comforting. It leaves out chances for ambiguity, right? Right. Hooray.

I'll Beta if needed. Although I must admit I kind of get wrapped up in the story and forget to look for stuff. I blame the pretteh writing.

Thank you for the offer! I'll see which of you folks I can wrangle up when I get the story finished. I do that same thing when betaing, which I don't do often anyway. Stories are for reading!
