I stayed up way too late last night. I got up this morning to feed the critters and do a couple things, fully intending to go back to bed and add on to the four hours of sleep I've gotten so far. My newly acquired cold made it hard to get comfortable, but I finally started to doze off when the phone rang. It was James, telling me that he'd heard from the mechanic and the Explorer repairs will cost a lot of money. I went back to bed, drifted off for about 20 minutes and awoke to the sound of my cat trying to catch a fly that had situated itself on my blinds.

It is winter. Why is there a fly in my house?

I've now given up the whole 'sleep in bed' idea, and intend to go turn on a movie and write fic in the living room. AKA: I'm going to go fall asleep in a chair and wake up with a sore neck.

Right after I have breakfast. I wish I had bread to go with my Nutella. Perhaps a trip to the grocery should be added to the list of things to do today. At the moment, though, I think I'm stuck with oatmeal.

Oatmeal is wondafee!, and I was just waking up when you wrote this. I drove my Mom home yesterday and decided to come on back home. That means I spent about 8 hours on the road yesterday. EEP! To add to that I think I've picked up some germy germs from Ty when I was attacking him and smiting his father for taking them away from me... :((. *sigh* We usually stay pretty well in my house, so this is kinda icky for me. Sore throat, coughing up gunk, hardly any voice...Ugh! I hope you get over your ickiness, soon. *snughuggles* I'm also glad you had a wondafee Christmas. Thank-you for being patient and sweet while waiting on your Christmas from me. Love you! ♥

*hugs* I hope you feel better soon. Being sick is no fun. My cold has not descended into my chest thankfully, but my head feels about twice its usual size.

No worries about the presents. They are appreciated, but certainly not required. *loves*

I have a fly in my house too! I named him Martin, and he's my bestest buddy! I don't want him to go outside and freeze to death so I put out a couple of crumbs everyday and watch him eat. I'm such a good mommy!

Well, next time I'll direct the fly to your house instead of swatting it.

Don't you just hate it when the world won't let you sleep in? *pats* Don't you get flies in winter? We have them year round, then again we don't get as cold as you do.

It is aggravating when the world doesn't go along with the plan I have clearly set out. *sighs long sufferingly*

Flies are a lot more common in the summer. Presumably they lay eggs and die off in the cold. It hasn't been very cold in my area so far this season, so that probably explains this little bugger's presence. I snuffed him, though, so all is well.
