Operation Prom Dress has been accomplished. Tonight Mer and I traversed the whole of Tysons Corner Mall - we'd already visited Manassas Mall and Dulles Town Center Mall - and finally found a pretty pale pink dress in the Jessica McClintock store. Thank God that chore is done. Now she just needs shoes and one of those sticky bras, because the dress back is too low for a strapless backless number.
After that we went to Starbucks and KFC and I dropped her off at Rob's house. I got home around 10:45ish.
I watched a comedy show for awhile. Demetri Martin was the comedian. He's bizarre but very funny. One of the bits that made me laugh out loud:
"If I saw an amputee being hanged, I'd just start calling out letters."
Tee hee. Hangman jokes. I get them.
Yesterday one of the managers decided that rather than bring bagels in, which is the usual Thursday ritual, he'd bring a mountain of snacks and candy. Seriously, there was a TON of snack food. I snagged a couple Twizzlers, two mini Reese's PB cups, and two little two packs of Starburst. Starburst + (dental) crowns = a bad idea. Now I need to go to the dentist and have one of my crowns re-cemented.
But first, I'm going to go brush and floss and go to bed because I am very, very tired.
Oh! One last thing. I got the letter from the apartment complex today and they aren't asking for any additional deposit over the $150 I gave them to hold the apartment. This seems odd, but I'm not going to argue. They did get the move-in date wrong, though. I'd said the 16th of June and they have the 19th listed on the letter. I only have the townhouse through June 20th, and I'd hoped to move over a weekend so I didn't need to take more time off from work so I'll have to call them and see if I can get that changed.
