mugglechump: (Hug Stitch)

So, January is apparently the month that members of my household faint. Last week it was Mer. Today, it was me. *eye roll* I went to help James move his things from his rental place out in BFE into storage, and after about half an hour of relatively minor physical labor, down I went like a sack of bricks. I'm now sporting a palm-sized, squishy lump on the back of my head where it bounced off the tile floor. Apparently I had a little seizure after I fell, but I woke up and aside from said squishy lump, a bit of a headache, a stiff neck, and a little wooziness if I look down for too long, I'm fine. I'll probably call the doctor and see if they're open tomorrow just to be sure there's nothing to be concerned about, but I feel better than I would've expected. I did feel really guilty for not being able to help move stuff the rest of the day, though. Thankfully, Richard and Tracey were also helping, so James still got stuff loaded in the truck.

Mer, by the way, never did go to a cardiologist. The one the hospital wanted to send her to wasn't on our insurance and we had to follow up with our primary physician anyway. He didn't think we had anything to be concerned about other than making sure she's better hydrated. He also decided she has acid reflux, probably related to the recurrent digestive issues she gets. So now she's on Nexium and is supposed to drink more water and fewer sports drinks like Gatorade and Propel (too much salt).

In other randomness, I was stuck behind a slow driver this morning on the way to work. My aggravation was increased by the person's license plate. 'MPL LFS' Maple leafs. It's LEAVES, you slow-ass chump!

If you have not read [ profile] rainpuddle13's Malfoy family stories over on D& (just 'Rainpuddle' there), go do it. Now. They make me feel all gooey inside. Then, join the Yahoo group and check out the fanart of the hotness that is Liam Malfoy. You're curious now, aren't you? Go, go read them. You will not regret it! Pud is ebil, though, and refuses to let me have either Draco or Liam. Meanie.

I was tagged by [ profile] heyurs. Once you've been tagged, you have to write an entry with 5 weird facts/things/habits about yourself, saying who tagged you. In the end you need to choose the 5 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.

1) I remember strange things from my childhood: The phone number of the boy I liked in 7th grade (435-2413). My exact SAT scores (560 Math, 540 Verbal). What I named a puppy that belonged to my great-uncle's neighborhood when I went to Erie in 1983 (Clyde). The name of the stuffed animal I gave Leigh Ann Johnson for her birthday in 6th grade (Fleagle Beagle).

2) I worked as a summer employee at the CIA - twice.

3) I thought I was a liberal until about five years ago.

4) My biggest pet peeve is when people leave out the words 'to be' in a sentence. I've met an ungodly number of people that say things like, "My hair needs washed." Hello? Match your tenses, people! Your hair might need to be washed, or it might need washing, but it definitely does not need washed! Second to this is the unspeakable horror of people spelling the word 'probably' p-r-o-l-l-y. It's more common than I ever would have guessed. *cringes*

5) I am terrible about misunderstanding song lyrics. I can butcher them like nobody's business. Once I know them, though, it really irritates me if other people get them wrong.

Now for the tagging. I apologize, I don't have very many LJ friends, so I always end up picking some of the same people. I tag: [ profile] chelley3, [ profile] rainpuddle13, [ profile] maple_charms, [ profile] mynuet, and [ profile] shady121. I've given Lys and Delaney a break this time!
